Give me your best recipe. My current plan is to throw them on the charcoal grill and toss them in wing sauce. Attached File

Well they cost $2.19 so I'm obviously a baller. Mostly bought them to freak my daughters out to be honest.

That looks great but I'm going for a more Americanized version. Make chicken paws great again or something like that...

You paid money for that? I figured you raised chickens and wanted to use the whole bird. Now I think you're just weird.

Dude I am going to be honest here. They sell dried chicken feet at my local pet store, and I got one for my dag. He wouldn't even eat that shit

Just be normal and savage some wings or a breast.

That is not just a down south thang.  Grandma would butcher chickens and boil the feet and serve them up to us grandkids and fights would break our among us.  And there was fried pig brain, pickled pigs feet, blood sausage, hog jowls and stuff I don't care to remember. Dad used to rave about tripe!

If you want bigger chicken feet, I hear there's a house, deep in the woods... just ask for Baba Yaga.

I once met a german shepherd that would be viciously mean to strangers. The quickest way to befriend him was to give him chicken feet. After that he was cool.

See if you can find a Thai woman who immigrated after being raised and learning to cook.  I heard they have some good recipes for chicken feet and beak soup from guys who served in Thailand during Viet Nam.

You paid money for those? I just took a bunch out of the back of my freezer. My wife thought they would make good dog treats, but he just throws them up, so I finally tossed them.

ETA - That was last year's batch. This year's got buried with the innards and feathers. They are what chickens use to walk through their own shit.  I'm not eating that.

They seem like they would be chewy. I'll try anything at least once, but chicken feet seem like they would be better for making stock or soup than to actually eat.

Considering a big chunk of southern food is slave food and slaves practiced voodoo...  I mean, you can probably do the math.  Maybe.

My parents are from Hungary.  Chicken feet usually just go into chicken soup, or broiled.  They are very good eating.  As others have pointed out, it's also a popular Dim Sum dish and I ate it many times in Chinatown in Boston.  Yeah, they do look freaky, but I would not compare them to innards.  I don't care for tripe or kidneys, but liver is good if done right.

I think grandma used to bake them up the same as the rest of the chicken.  They will have a kind of rubbery texture like the gizzard.  Now if you want a real delicacy, you'll fry up that junk hanging in your avatar.

If store-bought chicken feet factor in to anyone's shtf plans, they may be a little lacking.

I had them a few times while I lived in Hong Kong, and pretty much everything else Dim Sum related is way better than chicken feet. They actually aren't that gross to eat, but theres really not that much to eat on them.  Basically, you just suck the skin off the bones.

When I cook beans, I usually get some smoked pork tails. They make a richer broth, both in taste and in texture. And when you fish them out and separate the meat from the bones, skin, fat and cartilage; There's enough meat to make your beans a pretty meaty dish.
