I have 2 boys; 19 and 15. My Wife and I are truly blessed. They are wonderful, empathetic boys. Never a health problem, never in trouble. My 19 year old got the health bug at around 16. He works out around 2 hours every day. Eats like a horse, but all healthy stuff. He's a freshman at a private college, about an hour away. He called me yesterday and said his chest was hurting him. I asked him if he wanted me to drive up there and get him, or if he felt he wanted to see a doctor right away. He said he wanted to see someone right away. I told him to go to the hospital, which is just up the road. I was at a client, so I high-tailed it home, picked up my Wife, explained everything to my younger guy (who stands about 6'3", is he really my "little" guy anymore?) and turned an hour drive into a 1/2 hour sprint. He was in the ER. He seemed OK, but they explained to us that his Triponin levels were elevated; his was 1.1 when its normally .5. Very curious. Anyway, he had an EKG, and echocardiogram, chest x-ray, CAT scan, all negative. The cardiologist said he doesn't get to listen to hearts as healthy as his. Anyway, they have him scheduled for a stress test, and then an angiogram if needed after. He just called me and said his Triponin level is now at 3.0. Why this is happening, we don't know. But my Wife and I are a wreck. I pray every day; I need some prayers, please.

Not a doctor, but have a 35 year old brother who had similar events.  ER kept sending him home until finally a cardiac catherization found a blocked artery.

Triponin levels can also rise and be elevated after working out, so don't always think the worse. Prayers sent.

The rate of increase is disturbing.

I hope they figure out what is going on real soon.

Please keep us up to date.

Said a little prayer for you and your family just now. Hope everything works out and it was just a glitch or something.

I had something similar in my late 20's thought I was having a heart attack. Then it happened every so often, finally went to the doctor, I ended up having my gallbladder removed as it wasn't functioning properly. It got so bad I would lay in a tub of hot water then as soon as I was out, I thought I was dying, being stabbed didn't hurt nearly as bad, lol.
