He's doing better extemporaneously, answering questions. He just needs to slow down a bit. It kind of sounds like his brain is outrunning his mouth's ability to keep up. I think he's just nervous a little. I'm sure he'll get better over time. |

Trump will be "the listening President" sitting down with more and more groups asking them what changes they need to improve the economy and country. It sounds like Trump is spending more time listening to the concerns of labor unions than Obama did. Imagine that. |

He's a pretty lousy public speaker, and it's worse when he's reading.

The show Designated Survivor showed press conferences where the speaker acted exactly like Spicer and how you described. So it must be very common for the press secretary to suck at first. |
| I absolutely love that these 'journalists' have to say "President Trump" when they ask questions. "what does President Trump think about blah blah blah?", "Does President Trump blah blah blah?". I could listen to them say it all day and it seems as though a little part of them is dying inside. |

According to Spicer, most of the union leaders that met with Trump today had never been to the White House. Only three of them had ever met with Obama. It sounds like Trump is spending more time listening to the concerns of labor unions than Obama did. Imagine that. Quoted:

He had a pretty good go with Jonathan Karl from ABC and when Spicer started getting the better of it in dogging the media for the MLK tweet from a pool reporter, Karl immediately shifted gears and went to "do you think the media invented the tension between the president and the intelligence community?" (not an exact quote, but words to that effect)
It's gonna get interesting, that's for sure. I hope Spicer keeps giving them the business and not putting up with their BS. Call them out on it every time. |

He was on full blow defense on the whole "alternative facts" fiasco. Perhaps now the Nationa Mall truthers will finally admit that Trump had low attendance? ![]() The final numbers won't be in for weeks but more importantly, who the fuck cares? I don't anymore. He president now so fuck you. |
| Wish I could've heard it. (just made a thread about this audio issue, BTW) Our local ABC station in Birmingham, AL. Audio is always garbled any time a conservative does a national news feed. It is almost comical it is so blatant. Jug Ears or Clinton comes on....clear as a bell.....Trump or Cruz is on and it's "Sorry, we must have a bad cell." |

Well for one...for whatever reason Trump cared about it so much that he lied about it, then send out Spicer to lie about it. And today Spicer admitted the statement he made were false. Now back to your regularly scheduled alternative facts. |
