For those not familiar with the thread, there is a poster that claims to be from the future. He answers questions about our time now, and gives advice about future events. Many think he is full of shit, some believe him, most think it is entertaining.
The original thread made it to page 52, where it suddenly disappeared from ARFCOM. Not locked, not defeated, disappeared. No one knows how or why. What is even more odd, is that a few staff/mods commented on the situation and said they didn't know what happen to it, and we're equally baffled. No answers (to my knowledge) were given. Personally, I find the threads entertaining and think it is a basement dweller having some fun. However, i find it odd and somewhat unsettling as to what happened to the original thread. This is a thread asking for an official statement on what happened to it (at a minimum) and if there is no answer, thoughts on how to find out. If I am omitting facts from the events surrounding the story, please post them and correct the story as I remember it. |

OP, the explanation is both simple, and complex. That thread hasn't happened yet, because it's from the future.
The reason you are aware of it is because GD is impervious to Chroniton on particles. Once the time cops took him back to his time period before he could post that thread to return the time line to the previous state, everything should have returned to normal. GD doesn't operate on a linear timeline, however, so it will always lock in the evidence of that threads existence and the reality of time travel. |
I found the thread's disappearance more interesting than the thread itself. 
Hoping for an answer. My bet is that it was an error that occurred during the migration over to the new site format. Not something that the staff could answer, likely only @goatboy or @GeekBoy2U or @Stylz. |

As you stated, the thread disappeared. We've had several other threads vanish since the site was updated.
So either one of the Admins was in on some grand conspiracy, or that thread got caught by whatever has bugged the other threads. If a Staff or Mod have knowledge about what really happened, it has not been shared with the rest of us. |
