I had to send my new Viper PST 6-24x50 in for repair. I called Vortex and their first response was the VIP non conditional warranty. needless to say great customer service fast response should have my scope back in a few days. original thread here-http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1951945_I-was-pimping-Vortex-Optics-products-before-they-were-cool---.html |
| I like their PST and HD lines as well as the strike eagle. Dont care for their cheaper lines. The HD line is awesome and the PST line is a good value. I do prefer other manufacturers over PST in that price range, but they are gtg. My first strike eagle needed repair. They replaced it quickly. That is the only issue i've had with vortex. |

How do you feel about the little hat pin that comes in the box? Quoted:

I have one complaint. Their tshirts are sized a little small. And the decals they throw in with their catalogs are too big. How do you feel about the little hat pin that comes in the box? Too pointy. Pricked finger trying to put it on. |

Pricked finger trying to put it on. that's a hat pin? I thought you were supposed to poke that into the wall next to your reloading bench. |

Cool I would love one of their hats myself. Let me know if there is a specific one you like. |

That's why SO many people have experience with their great customer service right? ETA: I would use their razor line, but didn't have luck with some budget friendly lines, so I just stopped trying. I have a Crossfire, two Strikefires, Sparc, Spitfire and just ordered a Spitfire AR Never a problem with any of them, but I'm not an operator *shrugs* I do like that they are a Wisconsin based company |

Do you have any fitted, properly sized caps? |

We have several flex fit hats. If you look at the options there are two sizes: 1. S/M - 6 3/4" - 7 1/4" 2. L/XL - 7 1/8" - 7 5/8" If there's one you like let me know where you want it sent! I appreciate you taking the time to answer. I wear a size 8 cap/hat so no luck with your stuff. Too bad because the design is nice looking. One of life's annoyances for me is the "one size fits all" cap design. It doesn't. And it really sucks when you are bald. |

I sent the scope off my midrange rifle to them after I accidentally unscrewed the front element trying to remove a sun shade. I wrote them, " please hurry, I have a match in 10 days. |

I have used vortex and have been pleased. But as soon as I could afford better optics I replaced them.
My cousin and I were talking about vortex. I'm active. Mil and he is ex .mil who also worked as a .Civ contractor with well known companies and he is has been in state/fed law enforcement for 20 years. Someone mentioned the no questions asked warrenty of vortex with the intent on justifying them over more premium optics such as Leupold and Aimpoint. He replied something to the effect of, if hi point had a no questions asked warrenty would you choose them over a Glock? I choose glock and aimpoint because the chance of a failure is slim to none. A perfect warrenty means jack shit if it fails you in a life and death situation. I will stick Aimpoints and Leupold for serious work. |

Hi point does have a lifetime no questions asked warranty I have no trouble with using them for my go to weapon. I am going to have to get myself one of their hats, very nice design. |

Completely Irrelevant REI, also has a no question asked warranty on everything, as does costso. It is a matter of a company standing behind the products that they sell should it ever be needed, not a matter of lack of quality. It isn't wise to sell cheap products and a no questions warranty even with high markup items, your margins and bottom line would shrink rather quickly when you tie up human capital and other inventory to satisfy warranty fulfillment |

I have seen aimpoints and leupolds beat to shit in austere environments for months on end by 18 year olds for year long tours, and they still worked. Once again, for serious use, don't buy something for the warrenty. Buy it because it's proven. With that being said Vortex will still serve you well on the range or even sport shooting. |
