I want to switch to front pocket carry for my wallet, maybe 6 cards and a D.L, rarely carry any appreciable amount of cash.
What are you using, what is the best? |
|
I've been using one I picked up at Target for the last 5 years.
Swiss Gear is the brand, judging by the embossed Swiss cross on one of the corners. Â 2 slots on one side, magnetic money clip on the reverse, and a sleeve in the middle for extras. I think it was $20 |

I use a Flowfold Minimalist carbon fibre/Mylar one made from recycled sailcloth, and a Recycled Firefighter one that I got as a gift made from suede combat boot leather which I also really like. I've had the Flowfold for over a year, and a matching very lightweight billfold as well. I have more than the usual amount of IDs and other cards, so I have both front pocket wallets filled near to bursting. I used to have a SPEC-OPS T.H.E. Wallet Jr. that I really liked, but had to quit using it due to sciatica. I'm ordering another Flowfold, as I just got issued more cards.
I can recommend either the Flowfold or the Recycled Firefighter highly, or... "Get Both!": Flowfold: http://www.flowfold.com/product/minimalist-card-holder-wallet

It holds a small moleskin notebook, a Fisher Space pen, and 7 or so cards.

Yep although now that they've shot up their prices I'm not sure I'd go this route, maybe catch a 'Dave's Deal.' Reminds me, I need to replace my money clip. Quoted:

I started carrying my wallet in my front pocket in the 90's when I was travelling a fair amount internationally. It was a common-sense measure in countries where pick-pocketing was a thriving business.
I never stopped carrying it that way. In fact, the idea of carrying a wallet in my back pocket is . I've done it out of curiosity and couldn't deal with the "sitting on a stale sandwich" sensation when seated.
I wasn't even aware that there were front-pocket specific wallets! I just buy smaller wallets out of habit. |

Violent little machine shop wallet. Adjusts to how many cards you're carrying.

I've used leather and nylon wallets, but, this is the best, most secure, and toughest money/credit card wallet I've ever used. Mine is going on 7 years and still good as new. I keep cash on one side and credit cards/DL on the other. I keep this in my front pocket.
