| I can't think of one Sig rifle they have not managed to screw up. Now the MCX. I think the only long gun they have made without problems is the M400. And they just copied that from other AR's. They won't sell you any parts, discontinue guns within a few years or less and won't support them after that. Sig needs to stay with handguns which is where they shine. |

Actually a Sig owner stuck with a 556R, 551A1 and an early 716 and two(2) MCX. All with problems and no way buy parts. Even with current production Sig rifles call and try and order parts. Nope, just excuses. Why did you keep buying them then? I don't see the appeal. I've never thought "man I need a Sig rifle!" |

I realized Sig rifles were clownshoes when they released the 556R (Gen1?) and said metal mags or steel cased ammo voided the warranty.
So lets make a rifle in 762x39 that takes AK mags. But make the millions of surplus mags and common cheap steel case ammo not only unsuitable, but void your warranty when it causes issues. Retards.
Fuck Sig rifles. |

At least they are giving a $50 credit/coupon for those with MCX's who are having them recalled. A company that admits the error and goes about fixing it says a lot about them.
As an example of a company that does not admit and rectify their firearm flaws (in my opinion), I have several Ruger LC9's from back in the day that have FTF issues SPECIFICALLY because of a crappy mag design (which is well-known) and yet Ruger's answer to this is: "We'd love to send you some replacement magazines" (which of course utilize the same crappy design). So what do these guns do? Sit in my safe and never get carried or shot because they are unreliable:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIZTVfIuGgM |

For a $1000+ dollar rifle marketed at being a grade worthy of defending the lives of my loved ones... Its gonna take a bit more than fifty bucks to buy my loyalty after burning customers time and time again. YMMV. But to me, the juice aint worth the squeeze if you will. |

Any idea what caused the recall? Just buy an EVO or MP5 clone instead. I just heard/read about it recently. Apparently the 300BO was capable of firing on its own, without pulling the trigger. So theyre recalling ALL MCXs. Fix is an upgraded bolt with more parts, spring loaded firing pin, recoil spring plate, and making some previously serviceable parts now non-serviceable. The whole MCX using a common AR firing pin/etc., now seems to be non existent toward all parts having to be sent back to the factory for a new proprietary fix. Typical Sig fashion though, when comparing the rest of their line. |

I sold my 716 3 gun, it pained me to do so. I liked it, just never shot it much. When I did, there was never an issue. Accurate as hell.
What problem does yours have? I know Sig wanted like 400 bucks for a BCG, and wouldn't even sell me just the bolt. I just went all Armalite for parts interchangeability because I have 2. |
