Why aren't these more of a thing anymore?
I know there are 9mm 1911s, but something like a modern day S&W Model 39 or Beretta 951 Brigadier or P.38 Granted I'm all extatic about my new to me 39-2 |

I carry a 9mm single stack pistol. It is a .38 Super, but that is still a 9mm type pistol.
I like the way it handles. There are no double stack pistols that fit my hand as well, and none with the excellent trigger pull my Gov't model clone has. Some times, it is a 9x23mm Winchester. Double stack 9x23s are few and far between. But, the market would not support a newly designed full size single stack pistol. |

Single stack is nice for CCW. Single stack is nice for concealment, but is that why you carry a pistol? The difference in size isn't worth the diminished capacity when it comes to defending yourself or your loved ones. I really don't care if there are lumps under my shirt. |

Rob pincus new gun is full size ss 9mm
I love my $323 ss 9mm Attached File |

Rrrright. Because, NO ONE needs more than 10 rounds of anything. Then, it'll be nine, eight, seven, six, etc..... See how that works just perfectly for the anti-gunners?
More is generally better. But, there is a limit on how large or heavy I'm willing to put up with. Be it CCW or for uniform wear. Aloha, Mark |

Because a double stack in 9mm makes for a grip that isn't too thick. Besides stupid legislation, what point is there in a full size 9mm with diminished capacity? When the state diminished it for you, buy the smallest gun that keeps max allowed capacity. What's the point of a G17 mag when there is only 10 rounds in it? I'd buy a full size 43. My wife loves my 17, but the grip is a hair large for her. |

There is one I know of. Kahr T9. Four inch barrel, eight rnd. single stack mag. All Stainless steel. Almost exactly the same size as a S&W 3913/3914. Same thing is available with a polymer frame, not certain what the model designation is. This. they never sell well. Â Answer to OPs question: Â people who know much more about the limits of the market performed a cost benefit analysis, and realize it is no longer 1976, and that people like lightweight high capacity firearms, rather than full steel, massive, low capacity stuff. |
