| Just can't get to sleep tonight. Anyone else having trouble? Just fired up Judge Dred on Netflix, see if that keeps me entertained... |
I used to have insomnia, now I just work in telecom  I've slept a total of maybe 20 hours since Friday I've been working with ground crews for almost 24 hours straight trying to get service back to some little towns in Texas that keep knocking their Microwave towers over in windstorms |

I hated and still to this day waking up early in the morning. Yeah that whole 'Early bird gets the worm bullshit" can go right out the damn door.
For 10 years I've been one to go to bed around 2-3 am and wake up between 10 and 11. Makes it hard to find work with a schedule like that, But I love it. I had to quit Seroquel or however that garbage is spelled. It gave me insomnia for a few weeks. Advil PM seemed to do the trick. Also, I only go to bed when I truly feel tired. I don't get how some people can crawl into bed and not being tired. Makes the mind race like crazy. |

I just looked it up as I had never heard of it. Would that be considered film noir? Quoted:

I'm up watching the old Thin Man movies. There's a marathon on TCM. I just looked it up as I had never heard of it. Would that be considered film noir? Kinda-sorta. They're not as dark as true noir. They even have some funny parts. |

I suffer from it 3-5 nights a week, usually 2-3 days in a row. Tried everything over the counter, everything homeopathic. Went to my doctor to see about a prescription and after I noticed a trend in our conversation, I counted seventeen times she asked me if I was suicidal. After a half hour of that, I just walked out. Need to find a new Dr.
CBD worked for awhile, but it was unreliable and hasn't worked the last dozen times I've used it. It's illegal now, or is soon to be. I've given up caffeine, sugar, gluten, starch and preservatives. Even tried giving up anything that was red. I gave up every device with a screen, tried all the "sleep sanitation" crap, even paid $50 for some magnetic band that was supposed to help. Sometimes these things seem to work, but in less than a week I'm sitting up all night again. I've found that three benedryl with about four shots of bourbon will put me unconscious. It's not sleep, and it's certainly not a good idea, but when you hit 60 hours without sleep, unconsciousness is close enough and you haven't had a good idea in quite awhile. |

That sounds terrible. Major acid reflux? Sounds like seeing a doc may be a good idea if it's persistent. It's happened 3 times in the last 7 years basically if I eat a lot before bed my stomach drains into my lungs right at the bottom of a breath and I am totally unable to breathe |

Yep. Can't sleep without zzquil or a night caps these days. Tonight I've had neither and it's too late to do either. So here I am. ![]() Generic Benadryl and a shot of whiskey will do the same thing as zzquil and cost a lot less. My wife is convinced that the liquid stuff works better... Thank god for her ass... |
