| Alright, saw a kick-ass video with a bump fire stock and decided that I want one for my AR-15. I've found two companies that make them, Slide Fire and Bump Fire Systems. What's the hive's opinion on these two companies and are there pros and cons associated with each? Your input is appreciated! |

Honestly I am surprised the Chinese haven't copied either of them and thrn sell them on ebay for $20.
I got the original one for my ak and it works great for showing off. But it is a cheap feeling item that you wouldn't use just as a regular stock. I got it from psa last thanksgiving special for $70. I wouldn't pay more for any of them. There are nicer ones from other companies I'm sure that work and look better I'm sure but you asked about those particular 2. |

Sweet! Thanks for the responses! I wish I could do a RLL (or other MG for that matter) but the .mil and moving every 3 years ain't too conducive to that. The Bumpfire works as advertised but it gets old fast. I mainly use mine on a 9MM to keep ammo cost down. |

It looks like Slide Fire Solutions sued and won a patent infringement suit against Bumpfire Systems.
Slidefire vs Bumpfire Litigation If you go to Bumpfie systems website it says at bottom "licensed by SlideFire" And Their Facebook page has a Moran, Tx location which is same a Slidefire |

Probably not. Not enough recoil to reset the trigger. Quoted:

Would it work with a .22 conversion? Probably not. Not enough recoil to reset the trigger. People do it but I have never tried myself. It can be done but probably requires a better trigger. |
Has a lighter 2 1/2 to 3 lb trigger

You can tell the Bumpfire stock is cheaper compared to the Slidefire. Sharper edges and molding flash, plus the plastic is lighter.
I like mine, I built a dedicated gun for it. Yea it is a ammo 'wasting' device, so its not for poor people. But like most fun things, they cost $$$ to run. Attached File |
