How long until I can just buy the upper and throw it on a cheap lower?

I just want the side charging.

Cool,  I like side chargers.  Savage knows how to make a barrel shoot,  could be a nice set up.

Looks like it'll only fit their lowers.  The place where the upper and lower meet above the rear takedown pin is way different than standard uppers/lowers.  It's angular instead of curved.

I think that will bite them in the ass.  The whole idea of the AR platform is modularity.  Proprietary AR designs will put it into a niche/newbie market.

Depending on MSRP, this may finally be my entry into AR10s. It'd only be for hunting anyway.

Lowers on both 223/556 look different. Looks like one is forged and one is billet.
