Got a cool new cooler for my birthday but wondering if I got a dud. When you close the lid there is still a noticeable gap. I'm sure the rubber seal is working and I stuck a flashlight in it and didn't see any gaps but I can push down on the lid and it will close further
Normal?

Pull the rubber gasket out and check the fit. Still have a gap? It's the lid. No gap? It's the seal; make sure it is seated well.
