They used to get good and soggy in milk. There might have been the odd one coated with what was probably an non-osmotic non-nutritive cereal varnish that would resist the milk.
The last two packages I've bought, perhaps three or four would take milk. The rest would stay crunch regardless of the amount of time they were submerged. Is this some communist plot to undermine the American way of life? |
| I used to work at Kraft Foods when we owned nabisco. The quality of oreos has gone down hill after partially hydrogenated oil was removed. Also the amount of filling has been reduced. I also reviewed and set up two projects that removed 6 oreo "slugs" from the package (the two projects were spaced years apart). My niece was very upset after she heard i helped with that. I now am a public cpa and avoid all processed food since i know what goes in it. Btw, trust me....avoid the nestle pizzas we sold to them. Digiorno pizza is not what it seems. The sauce is flavored tapioca pudding and the "sausage" is actually either turkey or chicken IIRC. Btw, sorry to burst ur bubbles but there are 8-9 weinermobiles......not just one. My gf thought she was special in seeing the only weiner mobile...lol. |
| Many things have changed in just the last few years. Cereals, Cheez-its, chocolate, boxed crackers, even Big Macs... they all are not nearly as good as in years past. I think cost-cutting measures have made them change their recipes or use lower-cost substitute ingredients (or just reduce the size of the package). |

Check your permissions. I swear ARFCOM has my house bugged. I had Oreos in my house today for the first time in a while. I was making a dessert for work. As soon As I opened the package, I asked my wife "are these different?"
This happens a lot. It's as weird as FPNI. |

I used to love it. Now I can't stand it. |

Oreos that have been left out overnight for Santa are just about perfect for milk dunkin'... |

I noticed the last two boxes of RITZ acted and tasted like shit also ----------------- says on package ----- MADE IN MEXICO MONDELEZ INTERNATIONAL Was looking at some Oreos in Walmart Sat and had the same Mexican logo. I don't have a problem buying Mexican made shit -------------------- I just don't want my supposed USA made shit to be made in Mexico unless it kicks ass ---- in this case it massively sucked ass. NO MORE POS NABISCO (if that's even still an actual company) products in my home...!http://www.fightforamericanjobs.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ChecktheLabel_HowTo.jpg I'm looking at my box of Ritz Crackers. No mention of Mexico, but the plant code is BD. Now I don't know what to believe. |

Per Breitbart
..."Mondelez bakeries, which makes Oreo cookies, Ritz crackers, and Cadbury chocolates, has announced yet another round of layoffs at its Chicago bakery. The company is enlarging its Mexico facilities as it closes nine bakery lines in the Windy City, some of which have been operating for 60 years. The company has been cutting costs since its 2012 separation from Kraft Foods’ grocery business. The goal is to reduce costs by at least $1.5 billion by the end of 2018."... |
