Have been receiving notices that I'm eligible for 2 free subscriptions from a legitimate service. Yes, I believe it's legit so we don't need to go there.
Haven't activated yet and wondering what new hell awaits if I give them all of my information. I've already been through the embarrassment of having a credit card denied while paying for a client dinner when out of town because the CC company wasn't informed that I was traveling. Don't need more of that crap nor do I feel the desire to notify some service every time I change something on a credit card account or apply for credit such as buying a car. So what happens if you actually sign up for this? |

If it's a credit freeze, then it sounds pretty useless. I guess if you're having problems it might be useful, but to randomly do that to yourself doesn't make any sense to me. Does it do anything to your credit rating, or cause you any other grief.
They say it's free and keep sending emails that it's available. I'm assuming that it's something like freecreditreport dotcom. Free for a certain period and then a pay service. |

Yes.
a year ago I had my capital one swiped. ( Capital One insta fixed it and were the ones who caught it.) I freaked, and since we were/are in the process of buying a home want our credit top notch and unmolested, bought Lifelock) They are kinda useless. BUT, they did catch my main email. ( the one I use for importaint stuff) floating around " the darkweb" no password, just email. I wiped the phone, put it on cell only, and changed that and related accounts immediately. 2 factor authentication ect ) For now I'm keeping the service, sure it's nor anything I couldn't pro actively do myself, but right now it's just an extra layer, I'll be shit canning them once I'm done with what i'm doing. |
