I've never been one for social media, but recently I became inspired to open a Twitter account. After seeing the headline on Drudge titled "ASSASSINATION THREATS FLOOD TWITTER", I became inspired. Those more knowledgeable in the field of social media are welcome to chime in to tell me how futile my efforts are.
I've wiled away a few hours today, tracking down some of these threats on Twitter and sent the following message to the individuals responsible. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ATTENTION\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ This message has been sent to you to advise you that a screen shot of a post of yours in which you threatened, or advocated violence, toward the President-elect’s life has been taken and forwarded to the United States Secret Service. ( www.secretservice.gov/ ) (https://twitter.com/SecretService ). If the content of your post is determined to pose a “direct and immediate threat”, you may be found in violation of 18 U.S. Code § 871 - THREATS AGAINST PRESIDENT AND SUCCESSORS TO THE PRESIDENCY (see Note 1) which is a class E felony. An individual found guilty of committing a class E felony faces the following consequences (see Note 2): 1.) Maximum prison term: Less than 5 but more than 1 year. 2.) Maximum fine: $250,000. 3.) Probation: 1 to 5 years. 4.) Maximum supervised release term: 1 year. 5.) Maximum prison term upon supervised release revocation: 1 year. NOTE: An individual convicted of a class E felony forfeits his / her right to vote. I used something called "direct messages" and didn't save any of the responses. I just recalled the one about the guy claiming his account was hacked from memory. |

I like the premise, but you should have at least made screenshots of the threats.
This is something that should be taken seriously, I'm sick and tired of the lawlessness going unchecked by these retards on the Left. I would have made screenshots and forwarded the to the Secret Service, you're giving them a chance to duck out with no repercussions like this. |
