Giddy. I was positive hillary would squeak it out. I went to bed early, just as florida was beginning to turn in Trump's favor so I had no idea he had won until this morning. When I fired up the tablet this morning to check the news, I had to read it on 3 different sites before I actually believed it.
Then work was really busy so I didn't have time to think about it. Then I ran an errand at lunch and had a massive laughing fit the whole time in the car. Still grinning ear to ear.

Relieved. I have been anxious. I have been cautiously optimistic, seeing a huge outpouring of support for Trump, leading up to the election. But, in the back of my head, I believed that voter fraud, a massive Democrat ground support, the most transparent media collusion of all time, and trillions in social spending, were about enough to overcome anything. I really felt that Trump had more support than ever, and the opposite was true for Hillary. But, lok how close it was! Hillary has seemingly won the popular vote. Any slightly better candidate would very possibly have won last night. The first black female President in 2020 will be a nearly impossible to overcome challenge for whoever runs on the GOP ticket. |
