I have to ship my guitar amp back to the manufacturer, so it's all boxed up and ready to go. The last time I shipped an amp, when I tried to get it insured for it's value $1000 they wouldn't insure unless I let them box it up. Do they still deny insurance for pre-boxed items or have they done away with that?

You probably went to those fake UPS stores that does it for you and carry the liability so they can make even more money. Go to the real UPS depot. I have seen art insured for over 75k. |

That isn't actually UPS but a separate company with a different set of rules. You can drop off at a UPS distribution center without the hassle. Be sure to keep your signed receipt as your insurance will be denied without it. |
