I've canoed through there (cleaning up garbage).

They should have called Tony, he'd of been out there in his canoe to get a closer look.

I suspect something tangled in surface debris.

It never moved forward or back. Something long and flexible caught on debris?

Eh, just ignore it, that's a famous Alaska 3 ...l.they are very rare to see, but that's good because you don't want to anyway...why do you think so many own guns up here?

Yup.  What appears to make this thing swimming is just the current. It's not moving, just swaying in the breeze.

No mention of size, IF alive, maybe a really big sturgeon?

Except it isn't moving. It is static in that location.

That's why I said IF. I agree with the debris idea but even if alive, things can usually be explained.

Is there a word for when people see something so easily dismissed but resort to the fantastical to explain it?

Tt looked like it was moving when I first watched it, but then after reading comments and actually paying attention it never advanced past the shadow on the water.

I'm going against consensus with it being either debris or some material

It's a sea monster!

It looked like it was moving at first but if you watch the line created by the sun and the shadow that goes across the whole screen you can see that it does not move at all.  The front end is anchored in place and the current makes the object move side to side.

Either an anchor rope, trot line, fishing net, dock cable...etc that had ice form on top of it.

It is a prehistoric creature that was frozen millions of years ago. Coincidentally, it went into a dormant state and has survived on a primal internal function. Due to global warming it has now partially thawed and we will all now be subject to this "new" creature. It is hungry and on the hunt.

I, for one, welcome our new water creature overlord.

Hopefully there will be a B rated movie about this before we all die from our new masters.

They posted this on their facebook page a few days ago... there's all kinds of interesting comments... the video was left short for a reason and the original posters are being very silent about what they think it is... it's being done this way intentionally because it's close to Halloween. What sucks is I'm going to get this as a forward email for the next 10 years along with the "87 foot grizzly bear that ate hikers and was killed by forrest service worker"....

A sturgeon isn't going to have blocks of ice stuck to it, lol.
