I am googling now

Could you take a cheap 17 OEM barrel, and thread it to fit a 19? Or, for a 26?

Nope

Apparently the new barrels are made from whatever CPT America's shield is made from, and no one can machine it once the Germans are done with it.

(Shrugs)

Thought it might be a cheap path to a range barrel...

No.  Lugs are in a different place.  You can put a 34 barrel in a 17 and thread it.

I did exactly that except I took my stock 35 barrel and put it in my G22.

19 barrels work in a 26.

34 barrels work in a 17.

I run a 19 barrel in my 19.  Fits like it belongs there

Impossibru.  I thought the rule was glock perfection involves throwing away the sight, slide, barrel, trigger and then radically modifying the frame?

Funny you should show up. I was reading a thread from 2014 on another site, where you were in there discussing threading glock barrels...
