1.90-1.95 around here. Up quite a bit from a couple weeks ago. California had a couple refinery shutdowns and as we can only get our gas from in state that royally screws supply. One more reason California sucks.

Like Ratters I'm also in the bay area of CA. Filled up the '94 integra on 87 octane for $1.92 yesterday. It's bad all over CA, but especially bad here in the bay (and I'm sure the LA area too). And as Ratters said, just one more reason why CA sucks.

South East Idaho Reg. unleaded 1.44 Funny thing is every so often they announce on the news what the national average is, we are about 10 cents higher. However, looking at some of these posts 1.44 doesn't look to bad.

Years ago, I remember a gallon as .55, minimum wage was 1.19. So a gallon was a 1/2 hours work (@minimum wage) A decent car could be had for (sticker, no financing) about 3000 hours wages. Now minimum wage is over 5.00 (I think*), and gas is less than 20 minutes worth of work. A 20,000 car would be over 5,000 hours, if you an consider that a decent car. After a few quick googles, I ran across this chart. It claims what I said, gas is way cheaper than it used to be. How much less do you want it to cost? According to this, Texas produces 17% of our oil, we import 60%, and half of that comes from western hemisphere sources. "About a quarter of our imported oil comes the Persian Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait. " So can you explain how any speculation about gas prices by you is the fault of the "fucking arabs"? After all, they didnt make me buy an SUV, and gas is actually cheaper than it used to be. Furthermore They sell us less than half of what we produce domestically and combined they do not even supply much more than Texas.
