Crazy that people think that's so unrealistic.

Apparently it's 792 now...

Not judging, just curious, why don't you use a credit card that you payoff every month?  With all the compromising of cards these days at brick and mortar and online stores I don't feel comfortable using a debit card tied to my accounts.

I have two debit cards. One is only used for online purchases. When I want to buy something I transfer money into the account. If it is compromised there is no money in the account to take.

Mine was 765 last I checked. It was 765 when I got my first card six years ago too. Paid in full, on time, every time; just never used it much. It's all bullshit.

I was around 820 for a while, then I paid some stuff off early...

A great credit score is mostly just an indicator of how much interest a lender can make off of you...

Really?  You have no credit card, no mortgage, no auto loan, and no student loan?
Correct. I do not like debt. Cash is king

+1, although I still owe around 27k on my mortgage on the house I built 10 years ago but have had no consumer debt in 15 years (no bankruptcies or late payments ever).  Just to show how useless credit scores are.  My son owes over 70k in student loans (defered for the past two years), 19k in cc debt, had to sell his car because he couldn't afford the payment, has had late payments, has zero savings but his credit score is higher than mine.  Credit score equals debt score.

If so not by much.
Chase also sends me my credit scores and are rarely less or more than three points of difference to credit karma.

I recently canceled two credit cards and got two different ones with no fees and better rewards.  and it dropped my score by like 40 points.  They must see that action as bad.  Whatever.

Creditkarma thread.  It's free and safe to use creditkarma.  No credit card needed to get your scores.

I'll go first.

Most credit cards don't use real FICO's either. It's an estimation. I use my bank and credit card app to have an estimation. I buy my real FICO once a year.

You're entirely too worried about what some random person on the internet thinks about you.

Relax, man.   No one cares if you have an 800+ or a 600+ FICO score.   Also, I didn't specifically call YOU out, before you go reporting me or some other bullshit.

Have a great day!
