I have two of those but TASCO brand. They look identical to ones on the picture.
One has been on a Ruger 10/22 for past 3 years and it's okay for my 10 y/o son. He likes it and it has held zero at 25 yards since beginning. It's a little dark but okay for plinking in the middle of the day. Second one has been on a Cricket rifle for past year or two and it too works okay. I wouldn't want to depend my life on them but for 22 rimfire plinking rifles for kids they are okay. |

The picture doesn't work for me, either. I've had reasonable luck with 30-40 dollar red dots from Amazon, but I wouldn't "take one to war". YMMV Quoted:

YMMV I purchased a Bushnell on Amazon which the trophy DR S 25 have no complaints with it the $18.00 one Reviews are all good maybe putting it on Ruger 22/45 for fun |
| Years ago (about 1993 or 1994) I got a Tasco PDP3 RDS that was made in Japan for about $120 that I still have and currently mount on my AR-180. Despite the Tasco name it has been a real winner for me and never gave me any problem. I've used that PDP3 on several AR rifles. I picked up a second one around 1996 and while it was the same PDP3, it was made in Korea. That one was on my Ruger Super Redhawk for couple years and then on a 12G shotgun and then on a FN-FAL for a while before retiring to my son's 22lr AR upper. Again, I never had any problems and it has always held it zero despite being on some pretty hard kicking guns. I would be willing to depend on my life to this RDS if necessary. |

Not a thread about if purchasing an $18 red dot, but to find out if anybody has purchased it and what they thought of it. Quoted:

. Not a thread about if purchasing an $18 red dot, but to find out if anybody has purchased it and what they thought of it. OK, I'll help you. I'm 100% sure, it's an $18 piece of shit that belongs in a trashcan. Do you honestly think you will get any different answers ?? . . |

I'm not going to put a $500 optic. on a Ruger 22 that is never used in competition, or for hunting,, just some fun shooting on the other hand a rifle/ handgun that I use for hunting/ competition I have no problem spending whatever I can afford . primary arms |

I bought this airsoft red dot in 2012 and put it on my Beretta Neos. Still works fine. Of course, one of the things you pay for when you pay more is quality control and you can see a good 20% of reviews are 1-2 stars so your mileage may vary.

| I bought that exact site at a used table for $10 a few years back just to keep as a sight in case I ever needed a spare. I eventually mounted it on an AR15, and it has worked fine. It is ok for out to about 200 yards, but the size of the dot makes hitting much past that rather optimistic. But for a close in, ain't got nuthin' else sight, it has worked fine so far. It seems to gobble batteries, but they are not too expensive, and I tape spares to the side of the sight. |
