So can anybody tell me the difference between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen? Is it image quality? Range of vision? Would I regret getting a cheap 1st gen night vision scope over a 3rd gen?

i like mine, cause its super easy to use,,it is quiet , no noise (yes NV makes noise) and mine uses AA batts that seem to last forever in it.. mine has green color but with red reticles that i can change bright/darkness on it..if i leave it on the rifle and site it in, i have gotten 1/2" group at 50yards (indoor range only went to 50) and it holds zero pretty good, if i take scope off rifle and put back on it changes a lil, but i could still hit sumone at 50yards without resighting.
