Yep. I hate a damned spider. |

thanks for the replies so far, the only reason for concern (other than two little kids) is that I have recently had two large crates shipped from CA with lots of cardboard and other stuff and I don't know what kind of dangerous spiders you have out there. I haven't seen this one before, so figured I'd check (normally we don't have dangerous spiders and I leave the centipedes and spiders to duke it out).
Either way, this one seems much larger than the other spiders I have come across. |
| There's one that looks just like that living in the back of our mailbox. I've been leaving it alone, and it's been in there for a couple of weeks now. I'm guessing my wife hasn't seen it yet, since she still checks the mail. If she ever sees it, the mail lady and I will be the only ones to ever open the mailbox again. |

Wolf spider, aka spiderbro. Let him seek and destroy other insects for you. Yep, wolf spider. They're usually skittish, but they eat the fuck out of bugs in the yard. I went outside a few nights ago and flashed a flashlight around. You can see their eyes reflect the light if they're in the grass. It's a bit creepy. |
