I work for a construction company and we need to get some radios so we can talk between tractors and the foreman on large construction sites. No buildings will be on the sites when we are grading and laying underground utilities. Some sites may have some woods between the tractors but no large stands of trees, something like what you would have after you cleared for subdivision streets.
We wanted something better than the cheap "family" radios but for obvious reasons we do not want/need 2 meter units.

Thought I would ask the Hive for help, anything would be appreciated.

Almost forgot - budget can be as high as $150.00 per handheld unit.

Thanks!

Using ham radio sets for business is illegal anyway, BUT, try the Ham Forum. I think there's a couple of guys that are in the business of commercial radios.

I don't know if baefong has type accepted radios but Wouxon does. Wouxon also is a little higher quality.
