Have them sign releases.
Let them stay. Video tape the whole weekend... sure to be plenty of turmoil and chaos. Sell it to a major network as a new "reality" series. Use the money to buy a home with more rooms. [:D] |

Check with your manager,there is a law concerning how many people can reside in a one bedroom apt! And you will have to let the manager know in advance that you will be having X number of guests for X number of days!

At most, I *might* have my parents stay. However, having your brothers and their girlfriends stay as well will just lead to a completely wretched situation:
"Hey, who peed all over the bathroom floor?" "Whose panties are hanging in the shower?" The ideal solution would be to go with your fiancee's desire for privacy, and tell your family (in a kind way, of course) to get a hotel room or rooms. After all, there's no need to start pissing off your future wife early, you can start that later [:D] |

All kidding aside, it would depend on how long the stay is. If it is more than a day or two, I don't see how you can do it. I have had a one bedroom and there is no way I had enough floor space for eight people. Just my 2 cents. |

Well if your parents are cheap does that mean you are too? Spring for the hotel room for your parents and let your brothers stay with them. Just think of it in these terms, how much are you willing to pay to avoid a weekend from hell like you described? Depending on where you are $100 could cover two nights in a hotel for them. It would be well worth it.

They are family, I would let them but I wouldnt like it. look for cheap hotels close and get the info the the brothers let them know what the deal is with the high number of guests and let them make up there own minds. I have no problem telling my brother or sister the folowing
" look Mom and dad are going to be here and I think thats the max I can take for this long. Stay here ONLY IF YOU HAVE TO. If you can crash at this hotel It will be smoother for all concerned" Mom and dad may think its cute to get the whole family together, it will make them feel proud. |

BTW- This is for a couple nights over the 4th of July weekend. I talked with my older brother last night, and it doesn't sound like he's all that excited about having everyone stay at one place either.
Here's a little more background info: I'm the middle brother of 3 boys. I am the only one with a job though. Neither of my brothers can afford a hotel room, so I guess it might make more sense to have them stay at my apartment. Thanks for all the responses... No, we're not Mexican!! Shawn |

Check with your apt. complex. Many will have by the day executive/corporate rentals if there is vacancy, you can rent another furnished apt usually less than a hotel. Wife & I have done this when invited to weddings & such, quieter and more room than a motel. We've had 8 people in our house visiting and I felt cramped, can't imagine that many in a 1 BR apt.

Make sure and serve plenty of chili on Friday night.
Even without that, it will take 2-3 hours or more in the morning to get all the the bathroom stuff done, and that's without waiting for the hot water. |

Gawd,your father must be one helluva tightass if he's won't spend $30-40 bucks a night at the motel 6,and prefers sleeping on the floor of your one bedroom apartment with six other people.[rolleyes]
Not to mention all there belongings. How the fuck are all you people gonna take a shower in the morning? [ROFL2] From my experience the typical one bedroom apartment doesn't have enough room for everyone to be in the living room much less relax in the evening. Trust me everyone involved is gonna want a break from eachother when the day is done,not all climb in the sack together. If your brothers are broke,sounds like they can't afford to go on vacation. Don't mean to be harsh,just funny to see that someone elses family can come up with some pretty screwball ideas too.[:)] Three days of hell. To me it'd be worth a couplea hundred dollars to put them up some place if they won't see the folly of there plan. Hard to beleive your brothers GF's are going for this. |

Sh!t. If everyone wants to stay at one place, then let it happen. Tell your fiance to deal with it. You guys need to understand that Asian parents tend to do that to save money--not that they are tight-ass, just that they don't have problem living like that for a short time. |

I see nothing wrong with it. When I was young, I couldn't imagine having family stay in a hotel. That just wouldn't happen. You never know, you might have fun. I've had sixteen in my three room house. That was pushing it, but with six younger people out of the eight, you should be able to easily make do.z

You are crazy for even considering it. Get the hotel for you and the GF. Shop around for the best discount. Go camping if the hotel is too much.
