Here's some pics of Bad Boy in his construction stage, can't get the Imagstation link to work so I'll just post a few picks. This is going to take some time dammit. 1st pic is BAD BOY in his pieces stage. These were shortened to roughly size of brick Finished except for wood. BAD BOY is a heavy dude by himself, by adding the brick he really can hold his own against the wind. Here's one I bought, I really wanted something heavier and would hold the wood better, I will use it in the basement this winter for my air rifle shooting. I modified it a bit to make it the way I like. Nice stand considering it's cost and $$$$ shipping charges, BAD BOY ain't no bargin in either catagory. ARCHER1122 & jrm theres is a lot of work and steel in Bad Boy compared to other target stands, more than a target stand is probably worth, but I built Bad Boy as a project not caring about cost or profit. If I built BAD BOY's to sell I would have to charge $125 for one, I know I can't sell them for what most people are willing to pay for a target stand, but I know what costs and labor I have in it and have to be fair to myself also. The lighter stand sells for around forty dollars plus shipping costs. I would guess it was built lighter to keep building costs and shipping costs down, I didn't have to worry about those issues when I built BAD BOY. There is also the liability THANG, I have yet to open my business so I'm not insured and I fear lawyers, a lawyer would have no compunction whatsoever taking my house and property even if the shanker knew his client used the product improperly. The dirty MOFO's scare the hell out of me, they really do, they make it hard for a guy to want to help someone. I would like to help you guys out on the price, but you can't buy your tools, material, pay property taxes and insurances, pay utilities and include labor and sell cheap. I've already sunk a lot of money in the shop so far and before winter I have to give the shop a sprayed on insulation job for $3000.00, unfortunately things cost a lot for customers and businesses alike these days. One thing that makes BAD BOY, worth his price is your sons will pass him on to their sons, and If you need/want a steady target for practice, sighting in, or competition he be the one you want. If your still interested in one IM me and I'll check with my POS lawyer and insurance man and see what I can do. Thanks guys |
