Sometimes you do it just right.  Walking out of my local shop today after shooting my MPX SBR with my 8 year old son, I heard a customer trying to sell a ton of .308 and .45 ammo to the store.  They declined and I ended up buying 450 rounds of .308 9 mixture of 168gr zombie max, pic 147 gr, Winchester powermax, american eagle and lake city) and 200 rounds of .45 for $180.   Woo hoo!  Ammo fort is stronger.

We won't buy ammo from the public

Have had many customers get some awesome scores out in our parking lot over the years

Yeah, normally a retailer would throw a fool out for trying to poach a deal like that  but ammo is a whole different animal.

Took this opportunity to pull some ammo out of the safe and rearrange/organize my ammo fort. Wifey see's the shelves full and says "what is all that?"  ammo I say, "Are you preparing for a war or something?" she says.  Mission accomplished.

Once bought a Springfield 1911 Loaded that way. Shop offered him $350. I told him I'd give him $400 cash and the owner kicked us out. Gun was worth around $650 used.
