That is nice, and about what I have.
Now it is so cluttered, I have no room for anything. I could use 3 times the space. It is amazing how much room stuff starts to take up as projects go. I would like a section like that to line up Dillons, the turret presses, then regular single stage presses, then scales, then trimmers, etc, etc. Looks good though OP. Filler' up! |

Looks great, sounds like a nice project. My only concern would be the magnets....that sounds messy unless you only work on clean stuff. I'm always farting around with old car parts and doing misc. cutting/grinding/drilling on my main work bench, and anything remotely magnetic gets covered with rust, metal dust or chips. Maybe only do the magnetic edge on a portion of it?
Cool project though, looks great, and clean! |

Maybe only do the magnetic edge on a portion of it? Cool project though, looks great, and clean! I had to make a choice over the last few years to consolidate hobbies. I have coalesced on shooting. No more race cars, motorcycles, woodworking, anything...only going to do shooting for the foreseeable future. So the magnetic edge works for me. But I like the idea of a non magnetic section to aid in cleaning. I'll have to do that! |

Brag thread. Craigs List, $50/unit, and you too can be a cool kid. It was really pretty cheap, and I don't expect to spend more than $300 extra to finish off the top and the lighting/electrical. If I can earn a brag thread from so little $$ spent I'll take it! |

Very nice. Why the concrete over a wood top(say butcher block or the like)? The concrete seems very unforgiving while working on guns. I'll be using a rubber mat when working on guns. But when sealed, concrete is a strong, phenomenal work surface. Plus the ability to cast in all my features is a plus. I could put T-Track in a butcher block top, but when you do that you reduce the butcher block strength by half (as you have to cut away half the thickness of the top to embed the track). And a butcher block top doesn't afford the ability to do my magnet idea very cleanly/easily. |
