I was meeting a client at the local library when a woman comes up and goes "uh sir, ..." And points at my feet. I thought I dropped a piece of paper and stuck my big head under the table and he took off literally from under/near my foot.
Non-venomous rascal, so we escorted him out. I trapped him and then some woman who worked with snakes grabbed him up using a towel. Once she had him, he tried to bite her but once he realized she wasn't going to eat him, he became very docile and relaxed.

It'll be mostly gray in a year or two.

It is one of those led tape snakes.
Plug it into 120 and watch it light up.

The dreaded Speckled Carpet snake.
Highly evolved to the modern urban landscape, able to kill a man with one mystifying stare.

Rat snake of some kind. Non-venomous, fairly placid, and good to have around for rodent control.
