Same prop from Ghostbusters?

I always noticed at the end, Piper says "F@ck it!" before blowing the antenna.  It's kind of low and doesn’t get edited out on TV.

There was an article I read where they talked about all of the movie props re-used in other films. It was interesting.
As for "They Live," I love Carpenter, I'm a huge fan, but that movie was a better idea than it was a film.

ETA: If you Google "reused movie props," there's a lot of them. (Did you know that the newspaper TLJ is reading in "No Country For Old Men" has appeared in multiple movies and TV shows?)

Or to really spin you out, the newspaper being read by TLJ in *that* meme...

...has been used in a metric shitload of different films and TV shows. Always the same paper, and almost always open to the same page.

South Park has the best homages. They always manage to sneak them in.

I snagged "They Live" for $7 on iTunes the other day. Classic Carpenter. I remember watching it as a kid and being fascinated by it. It hasn't aged particularly well, but it's still a favorite of mine.

Actually, both the movie and the comic were based on the short story, "Eight O'Clock In The Morning," which was published in 1963.

I have an anthology, "Reel Future," that's comprised of short stories which were the basis for a bunch of well known sci-fi movies...

2001

The Thing

Death Race 2000

They Live

Total Recall

Millennium

The Fly

The Day The Earth Stood Still

... and a bunch of others.

You can buy it here for a penny.
