Fuck it, here is the original question.
Started to enjoy teaching, I finally ran all my idiots off, and have a good program going. A kid that I did not allow to come back this year wanted to come back. I called home etc nothing changed the kid... So I kicked the student out of the program. I have a program that allows kids to go to work during the school day. I visit them to make sure they are working. This kid wants into the program to get out of school....,the kid managed to get kicked out of school, and is no longer eligible for the program. Evidently kids family works with the "higher ups" and I am being forced to allow the kid in...WTF is the point in rules and shit, I guess the kids can be as fucked as they want and since the kids family is "connected" the kids can do what they want... . WTF, I have been accepted to grad school in January, cost 16,000 (rent for apartment and tuition, I'm eligible for a waiver) but I would be able to get a job that makes 50-60 grand a year... I make good money now, but this shit is non god damn stop.... Do I just grin and bear it until something else comes open.... WTF do I do if I am stuck???? Moved here so it'd be harder to find...... |

if you're leaving for grad school in January - i'd probably just suck it up and deal with it if i were in your shoes.
if i understand you right - the damage being done here is ultimately to the kid that's being silver spooned along - and it's probably not worth rocking the boat if that's what your bosses want to have happen. |
