Never had or driven one, but I guess it's obviously a grail rocket.  Anyone?

My dad was a used car salesman way back when.  Sold Porsche, Jaguars and something else.  Anyway, I was a passenger in a red one with gold rims more than once.  It was fast

Had the poster with the hot leggy blonde splayed out on the hood
back in the Eighties in my basement pool room

All I could afford then was a tuned GTI

My cousin who is a dealer GM in O.C.  turned me loose in
one from their used luxury lot once while I was visiting

It was good

I'm a Porsche guy but I never liked slant nose conversions. The only thing uglier is a 911 cabrio.

no, 911 (to me) looks better with the bug eyes.  (owned a targa for a while, got it out of my system early, thankfully)
1973 RS is pretty nice

Factory....maybe.

Conversion...hell no.

Either way they are an unfortunate 80's abortion.

Fixed a few wrecked ones. The targa top ones would fold up bad in a front end crash. Slant nose parts were hard to get and as expensive as fuck. Fenders were like $3800.00 each back in the early 90's.

And yeah, I like them.

The red one is sexy has hell.  In the mid-80s I worked for a company where the CEO drove one just like that but dark blue. Walked past it every day since it was parked in the closest-to-the-door reserved spot. :-)

Every once in a while I look up prices on one. But 80s technology? No thanks.

ETA: you do have a photo of a blue one just like his, don't know how I missed it. Derp.

Years ago I worked for a guy that had a 930 & he made it into a slant nose, it looked real good.

Slant nose is best nose.

Had the poster too back in the day.

Cool, but can't run with my tuned twin turbo Lincoln MKT. Basically a hot rodded station wagon.

Maybe, but your Lincoln MKT still looks like a Lincoln MKT.

And turbo wagons ain't exactly new.

Absolute favorite car growing up as a kid.

Now they are pretty dated and the newest porsches are basically evolved forms of the slant nose.

But god what a great collectable if an actual factory backed modded car.

Along those lines.   Guy local to me shows up to a Cars&Coffee with an F40.    If he shows up with a 959 I will wet myself.   Same dude has a Porsche 918 and a Veyron so there may just be a 959 lurking around his garage.

MKT...  Not even my favorite style of Porsche, but I'd rather push a slant nose from place to place than drive a MKT.

That is beautiful and as pure Porsche as you can get. Never really liked the slant nose. It looks like some engineer wanted 944 up front and 911 in the back.  The back and front just seem unbalanced, from a visual standpoint. Plus I never really liked pop up headlights on any car, the exception being the 944.

had a hard on for one in the 80's but could never afford it.  Classic and beautiful  car.

My uncle built one in the early nineties out of a targa.
Had a 3.2 liter normally aspirated engine.
It was geared for the track, but would easily do 150 mph.
We raced it in the Silver State Classic twice.

He also had one built from a 74 911
We Had a tread peel of the right rear tire a 145 mph.
Never started wobbling until we slowed down to 50.
Porsches are just great cars..

While quite ugly, I love the headlights on the 928 for some reason. They look terrible though.

Slant noses around here used to mean you could pretty much count on the car having a salvage title.

A guy up the street has one like this in white. Not sure what year it is but it does have that rack (or whatever it is) on the back.
