They are coming to town. I want to see REO and Tesla coming with them.
Is DL going to be a totally lame, synthesized mess? Do they rock at all like On Through The Night and early albums? |

Not sure if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me, but I stand by my statement. |

You may not like them and you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but really? Worst band ever? You must not have been exposed to very much music. Quoted:

| Saw Styx.REO and DL in 07. REO was hi energy exciting and put on a great set and I'm not a fan of REO. Styx was underwhelming and low energy put on a mediocre show then DL came on and ROCKED!!!! They were fantastic. super high energy had agreat background screen going and excellent light show to go with awesome vocals and wild guitars! This was 9 years ago but if they are even half as good you should get a great show! |

I saw them in 1988 when they played in the round. They were terrific, one of the best concerts ever.
I saw them on AXS TV on a performance recorded in 2013. The guitarists and the drummer are just as good as they were 30 years ago, but Joe Elliott's voice is just about gone. When he tries to hit those dynamic high notes his voice radically changes to be almost nasally. I wondered if they were using autotune. It was very distracting. Kevin Cronin with REO has the same issue. His voice has lost its power and it sounds like he is singing with a sinus infection. I know people's capabilities change as they get older, but it would sound better if they re-did the songs so the singers could stay in the vocal range they can comfortably do. |
