Did cave bears go extinct because they were vegan?

Cave bears' inflexible eating habits might have led to their demise, a new study suggests.

The ancient bears, which went extinct about 25,000 years ago and stood as tall as 5.5 feet at the shoulder, may have eventually perished because they followed a vegan diet, according to the study.

Even large vegan bears still get 45-70.

1.) Hard cast the vegan out of them.
2.) Harvest pelt.
3.) Profit.

Different species I think.  SFBs were the crazy huge ones with long legs.

There is a cool documentary that builds a relationship between the migration of men and the SFB.

I'm guessing that men were migrating the fuck away from wherever that thing was at.

Yeah, no shit right!

I think their theory was that man in the far Northern Hemisphere did not travel very far until the time that they had thoroughly domesticated dogs and perfected the spear.

Prior to that, they were quickly chased down and killed by these bears.

From what I remember they seemed to back it up pretty well.

Dual wield .50AE, same as Samsquatch. This is known.

I'd like to see the results of the same tests from a grizzly bear for comparison.  I haven't ever been a fan of this kind of testing, the results (on humans) never seem to jive with the archaeological data.

I read the title as cave beer.
