LOL, Avengers-ski.

Actually that doesn't look too bad, considering they're way behind us in digital animation. Their problem is that the reason Marvel studios succeeded in making hit after hit is that they had a dedicated comic book fan base to exploit and service. But, english-sub that and I'll watch it. I won't PAY FOR IT, though, hell no.

BearDude looks pretty fuckin awesome.

I'll watch it. Looks like they took a lil bit here, lil bit there from other superheros/movies but whatever.

Getting real tired of the 'tiny chick fighting a group of men, does leglock neck twist spinny move takedown' deal though.

Best aspect of the movie, bear-man with mini-gun looks fun too.

It looks like a caricature of Russian folk heroes, Rasputin, Bear Man, Mermaid girl, Cossack

One guy uses stones to make his hands into hammers, one guy has a sickle weapon, there is a bear, and a hot chick. All they need is vodka man and its the perfect russian movie.

Well, don't let's be silly. We will team up with them to kick ISIS' ass, but after that, it's ON again.

Countries need rivals/competitors in order to drive their own success and innovation. This is why globalism will fail.

Even being a resident Russian propagandist, not a fan.

Russian movie industry took a nosedive when everything collapsed in the 90s, and never fully recovered. They make some good gangster movies and decent war flicks, the rest is mostly poor imitations of Hollywood shit - you know, the blockbusters that are brain-meltingly stupid even before someone does a half-assed job of copying them. I suppose it's a good thing that they're trying, and maybe we'll see something worth watching some years down the line, but this trailer implies a crappy imitation of a crappy genre.

No kholodets for you tonight, tovarish.

But seriously, I thought Night Watch and Day Watch were pretty good. 9 rota was OK, though it could have been much much better.

Day Watch and Night Watch were OK production value, but suffered tremendously in the narrative department (basically it was near-impossible to follow the plot unless one read the books and could fill in the 2/3 of the story that were missing).

9 Rota was also good production value, it was mostly severely marred by being a libtard anti-Soviet hit piece (it completely shit on historic accuracy to suit the liberal biases - IRL 9th company HAD arty support, HAD timely reinforcements, and definitely was NOT abandoned and wiped out - they shredded couple hundred ragheads while only suffering a few KIA).

If you want good Russian movies - Voyna, Brat 1/2, Brest Fortress (way too drawn out), maybe Dneprovskii Rubezh. I can think of a few more.

Chuzhaya also comes to mind, that one's Ukrainian tho. Real hardcore gangster movie, not a single likeable character in there.

You are wrong. Everything slowly started to get better after the 90s. The Russian movie industry is getting better as it expands, reaches new audiences, and isn't stuck with having to rely on a handful of guys to make stuff.
