Well being able to Carry, there are 34 state to choose from
Class 3 there are probably 20 states to choose from. Being in your field. I would look AZ. Your college should be able to point you in some directions as well. Having left CA, here's some advise: Do not be in such a rush and just take any job that comes along just cause you want to get out. Bear in mind that if you lived in CA all your life, there is a different culture out there. Specially TX. It took me about a year to trully feel comfortable here. I still don't get their women folk. They are stranger than CA women. |

Try Virginia! You can get a concealed carry permit very easily here. Nice place to live.

AZ is as gun friendly as it gets. I came here from the Silicon Valley 5 years ago. The big companies here in the Phoenix area are Honeywell, Intel, Motorola and there is Raytheon down in Tucson. I don't know if any are hiring but the local paper's web site is http://www.azcentral.com/ also don't forget the biggest job connection on the web http://www.monster.com

You might want to move to India. In talking to the other folks I know who are still in the IT world, most companies are letting their domestic developers go and outsourcing to India. My own company included... [:(]

I have [i]heard[/i] that there's alot of work going on for CS/EE types at the nuke waste repository at Yucca Mtn in NV. Again, this is just rumor...
Here in ID you might check with H-P. I don't think Micron is hiring...but one never knows with them. ID is generally gun-friendly. In any case, good luck. Kevin |

I'm also told that Alcatel is experiencing a good turn-around and will have a number of opportunities. |

Kevin well, that rumor is true. bechtel is the one hiring (i know, 'cause i have a very close family member that works for them as was very close to moving to vegas to work at the nuclear waste repository). i applied at bechtel and hopefully, i get a job with them. then i can relocate to vegas. i'll keep looking out using your guys' links. thanks! |
