Read the same story from multiple sources. The normal bias of each outlet will become obvious, and you'll be able to figure out what's really going on when you read several versions of the same story from different points of view.
It's just like talking to your friends about how Doug's truck ended up @ the bottom of the lake. You ask Doug, Jim, Steve, and Sally, and they all have a different version. But you know all 4, and how they tell stories - so you're able to get a reasonably accurate picture of just how drunk Doug was. |
