After being in the Army for almost 10 years, I have been contemplating calling it quits. I had a 10 year break in service and when I came back in 2011, the Army well has changed drastically since my first go around in the late 90's. Anyways, I have been browsing USAJOBS and have found a few jobs of interest but I need a resume. I have asked some of my peers and of course the officers in my unit to help me on this, and my responses for the most part are " Use your NCOER's as a template and go from there" or "google resume templates" well I have done that and without a solid starting point, I find myself at a loss.
So im posting this asking for some help, recommendations of websites or even examples of resumes from Service members. I have always had problems writing about myself so having a few examples might assist me with my process. Thanks for your time Chris |

Check out Dan Miller's 48 Days to the Work You Love book, it has a great process for finding a great paying and enjoyable position.
He also has a free podcast. HERE is aresource he and his community put together. |
| Utilize everything you can from the ACAP ( or whatever they call it now) process. They have resume writing classes that will help you translate your military skills into terms that civilians can actually understand. Then they will actually help you format and write it. There are several other good classes offered on other subjects too. Go to all of them. |
