Wait wait wait wait, for fuck's sake. My daughter came in here ranting about having to find the damn area of a trapezoid. We need to find the area of the fucking parallelogram. Goddammit.

IIRC, trapezoid area is given by averaging the two parallel side lengths and multiplying by the distance between them. |

I haven't done Geometry in 30 years.The simple way to do 3 is by calculating the area of a rectangle that surrounds the four sided object, then subtracting the area of the two triangles that form the skewed sides.
