Apparently, I'm an idiot:

Number 3, with an explanation how?    I haven't done Geometry in 30 years.

13.7 m

Is this a trick question ...

No. 3 == A=b*h or 45.6 m^2

Base x height. 8 x 5.7  = 45.6

A = b * h    for a parallelogram, so:

8 * 5.7 = 45.6

Wait wait wait wait, for fuck's sake.  My daughter came in here ranting about having to find the damn area of a trapezoid.  We need to find the area of the fucking parallelogram.  Goddammit.

Thanks, y'all.  Of course, now I feel like a world class idiot.  (yes I already knew how to find the area of the parallelogram.

What kind of a math test is made by people who don't know that two comes after one?

Your test is invalid for not being able to count to two.

IIRC, trapezoid area is given by averaging the two parallel side lengths and multiplying by the distance between them.

I don't like to be this guy usually.....but this had Google written all over it.

I mean, it even has a built in calculator that gives you a diagram, lists the equation for how to find it, and then tells you the answer....

Right right right.  But my daughter told me that she needed to find the area of ALL the shape (even the red-colored reference stuff).

The simple way to do 3 is by calculating the area of a rectangle that surrounds the four sided object, then subtracting the area of the two triangles that form the skewed sides.

Ask her what she thinks about these objects:
