I'm wanting to give a 3 gun match a go, I've been shooting USPSA for a bit over a year & I'm hooked, I'd shoot a match everyday if I could, I live in a small town & we only have a match once a month the third Saturday. What a blast!! It is absolutely the most fun I have ever had with a gun. Ours are monthly too. I'll be out of state next month, and I'm already pissy that I'm missing it. |

You know when you had a good shotgun run on a stage requiring a mix of shot and slugs.
I was at a bigger match and was banking not missing any shot targets before the middle of the stage had slugs. Ran the round count over and over and over again in my head. Ended up loading correctly and didn't miss a beat. It's ballsy to do something like that, just have to commit to a plan and hope you don't miss and need to reload more than you absolutely have to. |

On a plate rack it's almost always bird shot. You usually won't engage steel with a slug closer than 50 yards. Most of the time it's a DQ to shoot poppers or plates with a slug. This here. Once, I was at a match that allowed us to bang up the spinner at close range with slugs.... And another club that had steel for slugs at 30 yards. Most of the time it's poppers from 50-100 yards. |

Honestly, getting the count right like that is a great feeling. It's relief and joy at the same time. It's addicting!

I'm looking to get into it, but need a decent shotgun. My local range only has one bay that allows carbine/rifle drills, and you have to shoot their 3 gun matches to get access. Dumb, but I might as well. Most budget friendly solution is a Stoeger M3K. DO EEET. |
