I've know this guy since college, so probably about 10 years. We were pretty good friends I thought at the time and were very active on campus in the car culture. This was before I got heavily into guns. In any case, he's leftist and I've known that for a while, but some of my other friends are and unlike him, I actually tolerate and respectfully engage with people who have dissenting opinions.
No great loss to me, but I was actually pretty stunned he responded this way. I showed the conversation to a few of our mutual friends and they had either already dumped him or did so thereafter. Anyway, I tried to remain respectful and dignified throughout. Did I come off ok? Let this be another reminder of how "tolerant" leftists actually are. And how much of a lunatic some of them can be. I apologize for the poor Photoshopping of the images. It's the best I can do on my phone. I redacted names...hopefully you can follow the conversation with certain features in the pics. I adopted my son when he was 4 yrs. old. He is Korean.
I worked with a black woman for about 5 yrs. Her son and my son were the same age and graduated in the same year. We were talking and she pulled out her son's graduation picture. I told her a nice looking kid. I showed her my sons picture. Her response was HE IS NOT WHITE!!!!! Yes I know he has been Korean since we adopted him. But HE IS NOT WHITE. I had never thought about how the blacks where I worked treated me. From that day on I was treated totally different that the other whites in the building. It was such a difference that the whites noticed and commented on it. Tolerance is not always defined the same way among people.. |

Last guy who started with this kind of shit was a friend on FB who was going on about the Michel Brown shooting. The whole spiel about how he was murdered with his hands up.
I simply responded with the autopsy results and explained how the Hands up Don't shoot thing was a lie. I then deleted him. I just have no time for racist people of any race going on a rant while being misinformed. As far as this shooting goes, I have no real opinion yet, I too will wait for the facts. Either way the cop is fucked. |

Wow, he seems to have gone off the deep end! But honestly, is this not what we've been seeing lately? That everything boils down to race, and everyone needs to give up their own identity and refuse to take pride in their race, while at the same time taking up the cause of another race that feels like they are being oppressed? All this bothers me. It bothers me that yes, I care that man got shot. Specifically, because I don't want it to happen to me. So am I now a racist?? Because there ain't shit I can do for the guy that got shot, but I can surely learn from whatever occurred at the the shooting. So I guess that makes me a racist because I don't care enough to do what? It doesn't matter what race anybody in that shooting was, what matters was that there was a reason the guy was killed, and I would like to know why. Until then, no judgement on my part, how can I , I wasn't there. Part of the problem is people walking around thinking that nothing is ever going to hurt them, that everything is fucking gum drops and rainbows. When confronted with the reality of life they can't accept the consequences nor the outcome. So they snap, they lash out at everything they think is out to get them and if they can't find something they make it up. The instigators that jump on this shit for their own personal gain (think BLM) are another problem. Because these people are so gullible they join right in and end up doing stupid shit.
