I have one and it is awesome! But it is a lot louder in person than what you see on the videos. Not really backyard friendly as it sounds like a 22 short going off. It isn't allowed to be used during bow season, but many states allow it to be used during rifle season.
It is so fast (450 fps) that you can use the same point of aim from 25-45 yards and only have it vary a half inch up or down. Pretty insane. |

Then you'd need all the stuff associated with HPA to charge it. |

The AirBow has similar speeds to the 10/22 conversions. But a 10/22 is still classified as a firearm, where as the AirBow is classified as a air rifle. In many states you cannot discharge a firearm within 100 yards of a house, but air rifles don't have those issues.
The 10/22 conversion needs blanks to shoot it, and the AirBow just needs to be pumped up with compressed air and doesn't need any propellant. The AirBow is able to group five arrows into a two inch group at fifty yards. Very accurate. Quoted:
How does this compare to the 10/22 arrow conversions? |
