when it comes to choosing outfits for the day or weekend... well maybe about .0001% more than I used too.

You can guess most calibers, but the remington 700 is 7mm magnum and I use 160gr nosler partitions.

Disagree....Mountains will call for more "caliber"

Either the lever action or the sks.  Irons will be fine. Not gonna shoot farther than 150.

Edit: FAL would also do fine.

Lever is always the answer in the woods.   Unless you're doing the whole "Wolverine" thing, then take them all.

You're going to get in trouble getting all that gun cleaning oil on her bedspread.

right now its 60% cav15 and 40% levergun.

The lever gun brings a whole nother set of problems.. which ammo!!  150gr SP, 170gr SP, 140gr FTX leverevolution, or 160gr FTX leverevolution.  I usually opt for 170gr.. that stuff punishes anything within 200 yards.

naa.. I run really dry with most of the rifles.  I can get away with that in Arizona and it collects lest dust.  Just a few well placed drops goes a long way here.

160gr FTX. Love that thing.  Really wakes up the old 30WCF and makes it a viable weapon out to 250 yards.  In fact like it so much just bought 200 bullets and the Lever evolution powder, to reload into the brass I've been saving and buying.  . Now if bears are a concern I might stick with the old standby 170 grain as they do hit hard, in close.

Why do I have a strange attraction to FALs? There's really no reason to want one, yet every time I see one I feel funny.

I think they are pleasing to the eye.. they are neat rifles.  I think everyone needs at least one.  I swear I bought the stg just for the built in bipod lol.

Cav15. I have one with the green furniture set up almost exactly like yours. Is that a SEBR second from the left? I know they had three colors available for them.

Not not an SEBR, but I do have a blue lower from them and one of their aluminum ones too.

I went with the CAV-15 as my front seat rifle.  The lever gun came as the general purpose rifle.  There is a G19 somewhere in there too.
