I'm looking for a single stack 9mm for ccw. Did a google search on Arf and didnt see a thread in 2016.
Flexible on budget but I'd like to keep it under $600ish. I'd prefer striker fired over DAO but I'm alright with either. Prefer to not have a thumb safety but its not a deal breaker. I carried a PF9 for several years. Mine was relatively trouble free but I never trusted it 100%. It did pocket carry well, however. I plan to carry IWB the majority of the time but fitting into a pocket would be nice. I briefly owned a shield and despite it being nearly the same size as the pf9, it wouldnt fit in a normal sized pocket and I sold it without firing it. Trigger seemed decent. I've only owned one glock (a 23) and it was meh. I'm willing to get used to one if the 43 is the way to go. Ease of finding holsters and mags is a priority, so nothing super obscure. Or... should I just not be a pussy and carry a G19 sized gun? I used to carry a BHP every day but its 110* outside today.. shit got old, fast. |

Quoted: I'm very happy with my Kahr CM9. 100% reliable, small enough to easily pocket carry, mild recoil, and the price can't be beat. I think I paid $325 + $50 to get the slide cerakoted black. I also added a front night sight for another $50. In hotter weather I pocket carry my CW380 as I do a lot of running, hiking, etc., There are a lot of great choices now in 9mm in a small package; good luck! |

I love my EMP http://www.springfield-armory.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/PI9209LP_1200x7821.png Handled one of these a few weeks ago. Seemed very well made. A bit larger than what I'm looking for, though, and its $$ |
| Id say PPS, shoots well, conceals well, but the design of the paddle release irritates my fingers when I'm holding the gun and the paddle itself is stiff as hell.....nowhere near as smooth as the paddles on my VP9......almost took two hands to actuate.....gonna dump it for either another G19 or a 26....haven't decided yet..... |

Take a look at the PPS m2. Button mag release. |

You guys with 938's and G43's, do you pocket carry in regular-ish pants (not massive cargo pants, at least)? Yes. P938 fits in dress slacks pockets with no problems with either the 6 or 7 round mags. The Shield was a smidge too big for pocket carry. Jeans pockets are possible, but tight to draw with either. It also disappears if you go IWB. P938 is very accurate and controllable. It shoots like a much larger gun. |

German made Sig Sauer P6. I've sold mine and kept the P226. Put I loved it and miss it. Perfect size weight and balance. Mags are expensive only use orginal zipperback's. Best single stack 9mm I ever shot. Just my 2cents.....Good Luck.... They are great guns, but not very compact. In addition, the state-of-the-art for 9mm single stacks eclipsed that design MANY years ago. Almost every other 9x19 pistol on the OP's list has lower recoil and smaller footprint. Just for full disclosure---I own a P6. But it's a range toy, not a CCW gun. |

Quoted: I've thought a lot about the 938. Looks awesome, but I've never handled one. I'm well versed on the 1911 Quoted: Quoted: LC9S P938? I've thought a lot about the 938. Looks awesome, but I've never handled one. I'm well versed on the 1911 I've always carried revolvers or Glocks, but my 938 is my favorite everywhere gun now. |

Quoted: I switched from a PF9 to LC9S Pro. Very happy. I like the "Pro" because it has the same great trigger as the "S" and none of the (in my opinion) extra, unnecessary stuff. If you want the thumb safety and whatnot, stick with the "S." +1 on the LC9s. I wanted the manual safety but not the mag disconnect, so I bought the non-pro model and removed the mag disconnect. |
