I assume you are looking for a serious answer?
Well, Islam, with Judaism and Christianity all have a common core. Essentially, they all share the major points of the (Christian) Old Testament. The main differences start when going beyond that. Islam and Christianity both have their "prophets", in the case of Christianity they assign Jesus a status much greater than prophet, and call him an incarnation of God. Islam recognizes Jesus, but only as a prophet. To this point, all three religions more or less agree on their God. Christianity modifies God significantly from the view in the Old Testament based upon the teachings of Jesus. Islam modifies God significantly (although probably not quite as much as Christianity does) based upon the teachings of Mohamed. Judaism just sticks with the original. Were the teachings of Mohamed not quite so brutal, and insistent upon suppressing every other religion by violent means, Islam could coexist with Christianity in much the same way that Judaism does. Now, why do people insist that it is a valid religion? You will have to ask them. Shorn of its anti-social beliefs, it could be, but (and this is just personal opinion) those beliefs are so ingrained that is never going to happen. I think it takes a Liberal view of the world to be able to ignore the differences. |

My opinion is that most people today are mouth breathing idiots who actually contribute very little to humanity. They are completely skill-less morons who have never once thought about something, analyzed it in their mind and drew a meaningful conclusion, based on facts and morals.
They never do research, never contemplate, never ever weigh the pros and cons, they base everything they believe on either what they were taught or what the majority opinion seems to be. They truly believe that some invisible person who they don't know is smarter and more informed than they are and believe every word they say, even when they've been outed as a liar. It's a sad state for humanity because we've lost the art of critical thinking. We truly have become sheep, waiting for our slaughter. |

People in this country hold nothing as sacred... They have no ethical or moral lines that if crossed means immutable violence. There is also the fact that people in this country are taught to believe in logical fallacies like the hypothetical and actual are equally valid, or intentions out weigh consequence, or the act of one person justifies collective punishment, etc.

There is absolutely a difference. The difference is that Muslims CAN act any way they like, while Christians currents cannot.
