We had this once before:

On Thursday, October 18, 2001 9:52:16 PM I computed that the average age on ar15.com was: 32.784.

This included 125 people, the youngest was 15 and the oldest was 60.

That was only the people who reported at the time, I do recall that there are a few in their 80's and 90's on here.

BTW in 6 months I will that average age.

Edited to correct: I think I am that average age now.  Sh1t I don't know, I was born 8 years to the day after Kennedy was shot. You figure it out I"m too busy right now (see the "what are you drinking tonight" thread. [;)]

I turn 18 in 2 weeks so I'm one of the [baby] on the site.

Which also explains why my post count is so low: I respect those who have gone before me and don't want to be viewed as a "whippersnapper"

(I know what ya'll are thinkin':  [BS]

It's funny to view the maturity level backed up by an understanding of the ages posted.

I have not found chronological age to be  reflective or indicative of anything but chronological age.

Well I guess that is the difference in you and me because I do.  A sixteen year old is not going to have the experience or knowledge of someone in their 40's or 50's.  Therefore their perspectives are going to be quite different.

I would challenge your response with the following example: a 16 year old female would likely have a more informed and experiential point of view than 50 year old female, if the discussion was related to popular teen fads.

Age does not give one the capacity to view things in their relative importance, which is really what perspective is about.

All points of view are based on experience and knowledge, but that does not mean a 20 year old may not have superior knowledge and experience than a 50 year old. It would depend on the subject matter. The expression of the perspective relates to maturity, which, again is age irrelevant.

48 years young.  Just recovering from my fist broken bone.  Broke my collar bone in 3 places.  After 20 years of safe flying flew my hang glider into the ground. I never plan on growing up.  I DO plan on not flying my hang glider into the ground again though.

I was born exactly 22 years and three days after Yeager in the Bell X1 broke the sound barrier.

That would make me 33.

Wasn't baseball invented during the Civil War (I'm sure you mean professional baseball)?

I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest person on here at age 14.
