Sadly, Al is a complete non-functional alcoholic these days. I know some of the guys from Thrill Kill Kult, he basically is drunk from 9 am on. Red wine, boxes of it a day.

It is genuinely amazing that he survived until 1995 even.

Some of the stories around him are pretty crazy from living with Aimee Mann in a supposedly haunted house to shooting up with William S Burroughs.

I hear that Al really likes it when people bring up this album with him.

Also hates Zero.  Popped up listening, not an A. Jones listener.  ETA to clarify AJ

Before Ministry and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult they were in a band together called Special Affect.  (Al on guitar and GM sung.) That's something I'd bet Al wishes would stay in the closet.

I added them to one of my Slacker stations, but it turns out that they did a bunch of shitty new-wave music in the 80s, so the station played that, too.  Banned from station.  I have all their good songs on file, anyways.

Still one of my favorite groups.  Seen them three times.  Never disappointed.
