I have an old Echo 302s Chainsaw that runs great, but I was tightening the nuts down that hold the blade, and the set screw broke in half. Any idea if it is a part that can be replaced, and if so, how to do it? Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Here's one from an ebay search, so it seems it can be replaced without too much difficulty

If it was my saw, I'd double nut the longer stud and back it out to confirm, if it does, then you can use vice grips or a stud remover to remove the broken one.

On a Stihl they screw into a plastic housing, so Stihl cautions you about applying too much force to the bar nuts.

Get an exploded parts diagram to see how the studs attach.

Heat the housing around the studs if you use a stud puller.

Not sure on that particular saw but you can usually drive out the bar studs into the oil tank. Drain the tank and look inside to see if you can see the end of the stud.
