Got the idea off one of the ruckus forums.

Schwinn bicycle seat from walmart, mounted to the back of the seat frame.

Still waiting on the foot pegs.

Flips back too so I can get to the underseat storage.

Fuck that.  I'd never let my wife ride on the back of that.  Looks like a wreck waiting to happen.  I'm eyeing a Ducati Scrambler right now for a little hipster bike.

Have you ever seen both the Pouncey Twins on a 50cc scooter?

Ain't pretty.

They have zero acceleration with a 240# bastard (me) and 100# college hottie on them.

You are really diggin'  the new scooter.

They ride fine with two, with the proportionate loss of acceleration and power of course.

Which of course means now you're gonna have to upgrade the air intake, the jets and exhaust next.

Enjoy yourselves, be careful out there!

Cheers!

What keeps the seat locked, in the down position?
Can the seat roll back, if the center of gravity moves back (under hard acceleration *cough*)?

You're right. Not only should OP have cleared the sticker with you before applying it, but I think he needs to rethink the entire purpose of owning the Ruckus.

Considering he's married and riding a scooter to begin with, I don't think he's worried about impressing the 15 year olds at the stop light like you are.

Awwww.... that's sweet.

You were under the impression that threads on GD were all meant to be a big circle jerk where we all got together, held hands, sang songs and made sure that nobodys' Feelz got hurt while we express our praise through poetry and interpretive dance.

Boo Fucking Hoo on me for having, and actually expressing, a different opinion. Maybe you should have your Mommy write a note to the Principal about it.

Hard acceleration with 2 people on a 49cc scooter? lol

She will be instructed to hold on tight to me, and keep her weight forward.

Like I said, most likely she will only be on when cruising the beach towns going 15 mph in all the beach traffic.

Lol no. They're great pit bikes and a lot of fun riding around town. They're hard to wheelie at first but with practice you can get it down pretty good.

We use to hit jumps and try hill climbing with ours. One buddy showed up to school on a Zuma with full gear. Helmet, goggles, boots, pants, Jersey, even a leatt brace. It was hilarious.

I'm glad you two have fun and I wish you all the protection and safety in the world.

But as the protector of my family, there is no way I would risk my wife (or myself for that matter) on a two wheel meat grinder.

The bigger the better for me.

I hope I never hit a motorcycle or moped in my life, but if I ever do, I know which side of the hospital/morgue I'll be on.

Have you ever been to taiwan, or china?   Now most asians aren't as massive as most americans, but I have seen a family of seven on a scooter, with the dog, in Kaioshiung.  3-5 people (father, mother, baby , kids mostly little) is not unusual.  I am guessing their teeneagers are too embarrassed to be seen with their parents too, because that I did not see riding on the same scooter.

well when you weigh as much as a Taiwanese family of eight...a 50cc motor probably bogs down a bit...
